Everyone has a story to tell, and we want to share ours with you. Our story began in 2001 and is now printed on our logo shirt. This is our story:
After years of overcoming self-harm, our founder, Vicki Duffy launched a self-help website in 2001 called EndAllThePain that led her to creating a self-injury (self-harm) support group on November 4, 2005. A year later, we were officially incorporated as Launching Point, a self-injury support & resource center. Over the years we have helped thousands of people overcome self-harm, spoken at schools, churches, and conferences. We have evolved over the years and are now also equippinbeing loved ones, schools, and first responders with the knowledge to help people over come self-harm. We bring our message of hope everywhere we go and have transformed to Love More Judge Less, a non-profit organization doing life-changing things in our community and beyond.
We are a safe space where you will be accepted. We offer a complementary café where you can just be yourself. We also offer workshops, seminars, a talk show, hangout nights, and an inspiring store loaded with hundreds of encouraging sayings on small products, which are all created out of our personal experiences.
We are about everyone…the misfits, the odd, the perfectly imperfect people; we are all about you. We are a mission of love doing our best to live a life of loving more and judging less.
We are love & recovery in action.
Love More. Judge Less.
We offer hangouts in a safe environment, support, workshops, seminars, and a talk show.

Our mission is helping people overcome self-injury through support, resources, activities, and volunteerism.
In 2014 we started a talk show, Share Your Scars. In 2019 we launched an online store with inspiring & encouraging sayings on buttons, wristbands, stickers, and lanyards.
We also offer support to help people overcome self-harm and body-focused repetitive behavior. We also offer a “complimentary cafe“ where people can come to hangout, do some work or just getaway for an hour or two; we offer coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bottled water and seltzer. Launching Point is a unique charity that serves as a self-injury support and resource center that started in 2005 in Florham Park, New Jersey. Launching Point is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
We are here for you; to support you and guide you on your path in this thing called life. We accept you as you are and will help you find the resources you need to help you on your path to recovery and to live a healthy life.
We are strongly against hate and that includes violent acts toward people as well as conversion therapy. We don’t support any organization that believes in conversion therapy or prescribes it as a better way of life.
Our focus is people; we accept people as they are and are advocates for people when they need us. We offer an encouraging talk show and have a store with inspiring messages on small products.
We realize that some people may need help that is "beyond our expertise" and when that happens, we will suggest you seek a professional; this is to keep each member of our groups and organization safe and focused on support. Keep in mind that our volunteers are not counselors nor do we have the expertise to help "everyone with everything" and since each individual has a history, there are many "moving parts", to each situation, therefore believe it's best to suggest the person consult a professional when the concern is beyond the support we offer. Additionally, we refrain from discussions that are beyond our abilities, however, we will direct people to counseling, a therapist (or crisis care when needed) as this keeps everyone on the right path for success.
We are here for you.
We take our support group "on the road" once a month and also facilitate workshops, hold seminars, speak at schools, and conferences.
We offer our inspiring sayings on buttons (pins), magnets, wristbands, stickers, and shirts. While you can stop by our in-person store at specified times, you can shop our new online store any time.
In 2005 we began the first self-injury support group in NJ and it continued as Beyond Bandages through June 2021. We offer in-person workshops and seminars at our location And welcome you to contact us if you are interested in attending a workshop.
In September of 2023 we started a new self-harm support group on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month.

We want to hear the good and we dedicate Mondays for this segment. We will share and read comments and messages from people sharing their good things that are going on with them. If you’d like to remain anonymous that’s fine too. Send us a message about what’s good in your life!
